The press-conference dedicated to the official launch of the joint project of the European Commission, the United Nations Development Programme and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) “Preventing, Fighting and Addressing the Social Consequences of Trafficking in Human Beings in the Republic of Belarus” will be held on Monday, July 20, at 15.30, at the National Press Center (Oktyabrskaya Str., 5).
The press-conference will be attended by:
Mr. Jose Manuel Pinto Teixeira, Ambassador, Head of the Delegation of the European Commission to Ukraine and Belarus;
Mr. Antonius Broek, Resident Coordinator, UNDP Resident Representative in the Republic of Belarus;
Mrs. Irina Chutkova, Programme Coordinator of United Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in Belarus;
Mr. Fedor Koltun, National Coordinator of the Project, Deputy Head of the Department on Drugs and Trafficking in Human Beings of the Criminal Police of the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Belarus.
The project “Preventing, Fighting and Addressing the Social Consequences of Trafficking in Human Beings in the Republic of Belarus”, funded by the European Commission, UNDP and UNICEF, is aimed at supporting national initiatives and enhancing capacities in fighting trafficking in human beings.
The project national implementing agency is the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Belarus.
