Call for Papers: "Controlling Cityspaces - Central Eastern European Experiences"

The aim of the conference is to look at different manifestations of control of urban spaces in Central-Eastern European cities. The ambition of the organizers is to represent possibly wide range of problems and cases related to the control of the urban in the regional context. We are looking not only at spatial solutions, such as gated communities, but also at political and economical tools and strategies of control of the urban space. We are encouraging researchers of different disciplines to present their papers introducing connections between the control and lifestyles, economical and political strategies and power relations.
