The German-Belarusian Society (dbg) was founded as a non-profit and non-partisan organisation in 1999 in Berlin to promote understanding and cooperation between actors from Belarus and Germany. Through our projects in the areas of business, culture, politics, science and society, we contribute to the exchange and networking between the two countries. The dbg cooperates also with NGOs, think tanks, government officials, experts, activists and artists.

The dbg is active in Germany as well as in Belarus. We organise discussion evenings and round tables, international forums and expert seminars. High-ranking politicians and diplomats, experts and academics, representatives of civil society and business from Belarus, Germany and other EU countries participate in our events. Multiannual bilateral projects in different areas are also part of our profile.

Through its engagement, the German-Belarusian Society provides for networking opportunities for actors from both countries and is committed to ensure that the dialogue between Belarus and Germany as well as the European Union develops positively and proceeds also in difficult political times.
