The German-Belarusian Society<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We are one of the oldest German civil society organisations promoting dialogue between Belarus and Germany. We can draw on a wealth of experience. For more than two decades, we have been responsible for the Minsk Forum \u2013 one of the most important platforms for political, economic, and social dialogue between the two countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once a year, the Minsk Forum brings together representatives from politics, business, culture, and civil society. Due to the many contentious issues and the tense political situation, this table is rarely fully formed. All issues of concern between the two countries are to be discussed there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why Belarus?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Minsk is just over 1,000 km from Berlin, yet Belarus remains an unknown country for many Germans. Limited knowledge, a lack of personal contacts, and some negative headlines have often led to stereotypes about the country and its people. However, Belarus has a long and rich history located in the heart of Europe, at the intersection of cultures and religions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
