Minsk Forum XXI Warsaw Session

The second event of Minsk Forum 2023 took place in Warsaw on 2 October and focussed to two general topics:

1. Russia’s war against Ukraine and the role of the Lukashenka regime (working language: English)

2. Gender and queer rights aspects in the Belarusian context (working languages: Belarusian and Russian)

Minsk Forum is organised by the German-Belarusian Society (dbg e. V.). Cooperation partners include the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, Friedrich Ebert Foundation, Imaguru, Euroradio.

The conference is supported by the Federal Foreign Office of Germany and German Marshall Fund of the United States.

Due to the ongoing repressions in Belarus, we want to focus on the practical potential of the Forum. Thus the new format included four working sessions / workshops: two parallel workshops in Vilnius and two parallel workshops in Warsaw with the possibility of having Belarusian, Russian, and English as working languages. During the workshops, the participants were invited into think tank settings to work out suggestions on vibrant issues in their area of expertise, which will be later presented at the assembled discussion with EU parliamentarians in Brussels. The final conference of this year’s Minsk Forum will be held in Berlin on 4 December.

The events will be streamed on Youtube as well on the internet pages of our partners.
