Frohe Weihnachten und ein glückliches neues Jahr
Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren,
liebe Mitglieder, Partner und Freunde der dbg,
zum Weihnachtsfest und zum Jahreswechsel möchten wir Ihnen unsere herzlichen Grüße und unseren Dank für Ihre Verbundenheit im Jahr 2025 übermitteln.
Für unsere Region war 2025 ein äußerst belastendes Jahr. Der russische Angriffskrieg gegen die Ukraine dauert an; trotz diplomatischer Bemühungen und zahlreicher Gesprächsformate blieben substantielle Fortschritte selten. Die Kämpfe und die humanitäre Not belasten nicht nur die Ukraine, sondern das gesamte Umfeld – auch Belarus, das durch den politischen Terror des Lukaschenka-Regimes gegen die belarusische Gesellschaft und seine Mitwirkung an der russischen Aggression gegen die Ukraine weiterhin unter internationaler Isolation steht.
Und doch gab es kleine Zeichen der Hoffnung. Die Freilassung mehrerer Dutzend belarusischer politischer Gefangener hat vielen von uns Mut gemacht. Wir begrüßen diese Schritte von ganzem Herzen – sie sind ein notwendiger früher Schritt hin zu einer Normalisierung der Situation in und um Belarus, auch wenn der Weg noch weit ist.
Mit Blick auf 2026 hoffen wir auf weitere positive Entwicklungen: auf die Freilassung aller noch inhaftierten politischen Gefangenen in Belarus, auf reale Fortschritte in Richtung Frieden zwischen Russland und der Ukraine, trotz aller Rückschläge und schwieriger Verhandlungen, und auf erste Schritte hin zu einer Normalisierung der internationalen Beziehungen.
Wir wissen, dass diese Hoffnungen in der aktuellen Lage schwer zu glauben sind – und dennoch halten wir an ihnen fest.
Im Jahr 2026 jährt sich zudem die Tschernobyl-Katastrophe zum 40. Mal. Sie bleibt ein Mahnmal globaler Verantwortung und eine Erinnerung daran, wie tief ihre Folgen Belarus geprägt haben. Gerade dieses traurige Jubiläum zeigt, wie wichtig es weiterhin ist, die belarusische Gesellschaft auf ihrem Weg zu Entwicklung, Offenheit und Demokratie zu unterstützen. Die deutsche Zivilgesellschaft hat seit den 1990er Jahren viel geleistet; dieses Engagement bleibt auch heute unverzichtbar.
Wir wünschen Ihnen und Ihren Familien ein friedliches Weihnachtsfest und einen hoffnungsvollen, gesunden Start in das neue Jahr.

Паважаныя члены, партнёры і сябры Нямецка-беларускага таварыства,
З нагоды Калядаў і надыходзячага Новага году мы хацелі б перадаць нашы самыя цёплыя віншаванні і шчырую падзяку за вашую падтрымку ў 2025 годзе.
Гэты год быў надзвычай складаным для нашага рэгіёну. Працягваецца вайна, развязаная Расіяй супраць Украіны. Нягледзячы на высілкі дыпламатыі і на шматлікія фарматы дыялогу, істотнага прагрэсу на шляху ўрэгулявання гэтага канфлікту дасягнута не было. Баявыя дзеянні і гуманітарны крызіс закранаюць не толькі Ўкраіну, але ўплываюць і на навакольныя дзяржавы. Не застаецца ўбаку і Беларусь, якая знаходзіцца ў міжнароднай ізаляцыі з-за палітычнага тэрору, які рэжым А. Лукашэнкі працягвае чыніць супраць беларускага грамадства, і з-за саўдзелу рэжыму ў расійскай агрэсіі супраць Украіны.
І ўсё ж 2025 год падараваў нам і нагоды для таго, каб глядзець у будучыню з надзеяй. Мы шчыра вітаем вызваленне некалькіх дзясяткаў беларускіх палітычных зняволеных і лічым гэта неабходным першым крокам да нармалізацыі сітуацыі ў Беларусі і вакол яе – нават калі да гэтай нармалізацыі яшчэ належыць прайсці доўгі шлях.
Зазіраючы ў 2026 год, мы спадзяемся на далейшыя пазітыўныя зрухі: на вызваленне ўсіх астатніх палітычных зняволеных у Беларусі, на рэальны прагрэс на шляху да міру паміж Расіяй і Украінай, нягледзячы на ўсе няўдачы і складаныя перамовы, і на першыя крокі да нармалізацыі міжнароднай абстаноўкі ў рэгіёне.
Мы ведаем, што ў цяперашніх умовах спадзявацца на лепшае можа быць складана. І ўсё ж мы цвёрда трымаемся гэтае надзеі.
У 2026 годзе нас чакае 40-я гадавіна Чарнобыльскай катастрофы, што павінна яшчэ раз нагадаць нам пра тое, як глыбока яе наступствы паўплывалі на Беларусь. Гэтая гадавіна таксама падкрэслівае нязменную важнасць падтрымкі беларускага грамадства на яго шляху да развіцця, адкрытасці і дэмакратыі. Ад 90-х гадоў нямецкая грамадзянская супольнасць аказвала значную дапамогу Беларусі, патрэба ў гэтым застаецца актуальнай і па сёння.
Мы жадаем вам і вашым сем’ям мірнага Раства і шчаслівага Новага Года.

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
dear members, partners and friends of the German-Belarusian Society,
As Christmas approaches and the year draws to a close, we would like to extend our warmest greetings and our sincere thanks for your continued support and commitment throughout 2025.
For our region, 2025 has been an extremely difficult year. Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine continues; despite diplomatic efforts and numerous negotiation formats, substantive progress has remained rare. The fighting and the humanitarian suffering affect not only Ukraine, but the entire region — including Belarus, which remains under international isolation as a result of the political terror exercised by the Lukashenko regime against Belarusian society and its complicity in Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.
And yet, there were small signs of hope. The release of several dozen Belarusian political prisoners has encouraged many of us. We wholeheartedly welcome these steps — they represent a necessary early move towards a normalisation of the situation in and around Belarus, even though the road ahead remains long.
Looking ahead to 2026, we hope for further positive developments: for the release of all remaining political prisoners in Belarus; for tangible progress towards peace between Russia and Ukraine, despite setbacks and difficult negotiations; and for initial steps towards a normalisation of international relations.
We are fully aware that, in the current circumstances, these hopes may seem difficult to believe in — and yet we continue to hold on to them.
The year 2026 will also mark the 40th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster. It remains a reminder of global responsibility and of how profoundly its consequences have shaped Belarus. This sombre anniversary underlines how important it is to continue supporting Belarusian society on its path towards development, openness and democracy. German civil society has made a significant contribution since the 1990s, and this engagement remains indispensable today.
We wish you and your families a peaceful Christmas and a healthy, hopeful start to the New Year.
