Der Deutsch-Belarussische Wirtschaftsclub und die Repräsentanz der Deutschen Wirtschaft in
der Republik Belarus führen am 4. Oktober 2011 den 5. Tag der Deutschen Wirtschaft in
Belarus zum Thema „Transport und Logistik“ durch. Damit wird die Tradition deutscher
Wirtschaftstage in Belarus fortgesetzt. Der 5. Tag der Deutschen Wirtschaft steht unter der
Schirmherrschaft von Botschafter Dr. Christof Weil.

Belarusian economist Dr. Leonid Zlotnikov provides an in-depth analysis of how the unsustainable economic policies of the Lukashenka regime brought about the current financial crisis in Belarus. Assessing the two potential trajectories of the country’s economy — sustained state control or market liberalization — Dr. Zlotnikov argues that unless systemic reforms are undertaken the crisis will keep deteriorating.
